Hey all, how're you getting on?
It's definitely been character building, this lockdown lark. Particularly with young children that need home schooled, and appear to be more hungry than they've ever been in their lives. Is anyone else being eaten out of the home!? And it's not like you can easily pop to the shops to top up! I've got a cupboard with emergency crackers for when supplies run low!
I've found it quite challenging not being able to work as I usually would at this time of year; March-May is one of my busiest times of year, that and autumn, and I am really missing the holy communion and confirmation photo sessions as they're really fun ones! I've been trying to keep taking snaps at home though, of our daily activities and general life, as there definitely have been some good sides to lockdown.
I have enjoyed the slower pace, the lack of needing to answer to anyone or anything! I have enjoyed the opportunity to bake and cook more. I have enjoyed having my husband around more, little meetings at the kettle when he's having a tea break, lunches as a family, the occasional board game all together. I've had more time to read after we do home schooling and my girls run off to play. I feel like my anxieties have quietened somewhat, and it just feels the way life works best. But also, I really miss my friends, my parents, my job, this cafe called Leafy Greens in Warrenpoint that I love, nipping to the shops, the library, Gosford. But all that will come back, so with that knowledge safe in my mindbox I will continue trying to enjoy the aspects of lockdown that I do enjoy. I hope you're all keeping safe and happy as can be xxx
