Well... what is there to say that hasn't already been said? What a mad, bizarre time this is. And much to my sorrow I've had to cancel all my upcoming jobs due to the pandemic that's spreading through our world, and right now our beautiful island. Thank you to everyone who has messaged me, and to all those have have said it's not a cancellation but a postponement - bless you! I hope you and your loved ones all keep safe during this very worrying time. I'm going to be coming off social media for a wee while as personally, all this news and Facebook feeds are heightening my anxiety. I'm going into a bubble for a little while, getting into the new routine of being teacher on top of parent! Shout out to all your Mums and Dads out there terrified you're going to ruin the next few months of your kids' education!! I want to say a huge thank you to all the people who are having to work extra hard during this pandemic; NHS workers, teachers, shop workers, post people (especially my Hermes delivery dude - he's already seen too much of me haha!), lorry drivers - anyone involved in the food supply chain!!
I have loved ones working within the NHS now and they're really scared of what's coming. I have people I love who are seriously vulnerable to this virus.
So please, please: stay at home. Take this seriously. It's not just flu. Even if you don't have someone who could be seriously affected by Covid-19, someone else you love will have someone who could be. We need to all be socially responsible.
